Water, Wind & Fire: Renewable Energy Sources

Let there be no doubt about it – I am a fully converted go green enthusiast, and have been for years. I have used solar water heating systems for over a quarter century. But that has not totally clouded by awareness nor sensitivities to some possible downsides. For example an article in the reports that “the ethanol era has proven far more damaging to the environment than politicians promised and much worse than the government admits today. As farmers rushed to find new places to plant corn, they wiped out millions of acres of conservation land, destroyed habitat and polluted water supplies.” – http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/push-renewable-energies-green-fuel-sources-damaged-millions-acres-land-report-article-1.1514671#ixzz2kedS6DKl.

Does this mean that the renewable energy thrust is all bad? I think not, but our guest author today looks at this idea. Read on and tell us what you think…

Businesses Going Green

The “Go Green” movement has its fans – and in the interest of full disclosure, count me among them – and it also has some detractors. Nevertheless, going green is gaining momentum and businesses and investors are getting behind the drive – or should we say leading the drive. Well, why are more and more businesses going green? Frank Robinson is a solar energy researcher and he looks at some facts and myths around going green initiatives…

Solar - Looking at renewable energy sources

This is scary – “Solar, wind and even natural gas will not be enough to supplant carbon dioxide-producing fossil fuel power sources expected to bring severe global warming problems to the planet by 2035, says a Norwegian doctoral candidate. ” -as stated in an article at: http://triblive.com/usworld/world/4894049-74/energy-solar-cloete#axzz2jW9E5BYc.. Just when I thought the future would a safe place for the next generation. Maybe there is still hope, and Mark Hallway discusses these options in this article.

The Numerous Benefits Of A Ride On Lawn Mower

“A man in Canton, Ohio found out the hard way when he was stopped at a checkpoint on Sept. 27 while riding his fancy mower.
